A&M at The National Museum of Natural History

The marine life provided by A&M Aquatics of Lansing, Michigan for the Smithsonian Institutes National Museum of Natural Histories new Ocean Hall Indo Pacific Coral Reef Aquarium Exhibit has all been harvested, exported from source country, and imported by A&M Aquatics meeting or exceeding all industry standards for best health management practices.

A&M Aquatics was engaged as the lead source of livestock for the exhibit because of their certified best practices handling of marine livestock.

All marine fish provided by A&M Aquatics for the exhibit were hand collected/net caught according to best management practice standards.

The coral provided by A&M Aquatics for the exhibit is primarily third or fourth generation having been grown by A&M Aquatics at their Aquaculture facility in Lansing, MI. The coral for the exhibit was specifically grown for a period of over one year in a dedicated system to allow the coral to grow to showcase size for the exhibit.

The majority of the brood stock for the coral was originally maricultured in country of origin, then exported under control of cites permit to importer of record, A&M Aquatics.
